The Netherlands Fellowship Program is inviting applications from working professionals in government, non-government or private organizations in one of the NFP Countries for Curriculum and Assessment for Educational Innovation Training being held in Netherlands for three weeks during the month of September 2014. The major objective of the fellowship program is to help increase the number along with competencies of skilled staff in government and non-government organizations working in the Education Sector.
Policymakers at the national and the provincial levels as well as educational support staff and intermediate advisors who oversee curriculum development and assessment at provincial, regional, and national levels, individuals working in countries that are in transition and who are seeking to transform their education system into one that meets the needs of today’s people are encouraged to apply for the fellowship of the training course.
The training course on Curriculum and Assessment for Educational Innovation concerns assessment, curriculum, along with interpreting national policy at the school and classroom level on Micro, Meso, and Macro levels. The course will be completed covering design and benchmarking standards, policy implementation, creating educational materials, etc. in curriculum topics and systemic assessment, school-based assessment, school self-evaluation, general framework for instrument construction, and more in assessment topics. Upon completion of this course, fellows will have competency in creating and implementing standards at the three levels, understanding how education policy is implemented at the school and system levels, as well as learning about the changing nature of curriculum and assessment. The fellows will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicant must have a degree in teacher training or equivalent certification; basic theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the areas of curriculum, development, and assessment; experience with sharing and implementing educational improvements; and a basic understanding of innovation policy.
- Applicant must be working professional in and from one of the NFP Countries.
- Applicants must be nominated by their employer in order to be considered for the Fellowship. A clear need for training within their organization must be documented.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of work-related experience and must be able to implement new knowledge and skills into their organization.
