Netherlands Fellowship Program (NFP) is inviting applications from working professionals in government, non-government or private organizations in one of the NFP Countries for Innovation in Social Work Training being conducted from 1 September 2014 through 28 November 2014 in Christelijke Hogeschool Ede, Christian University of Applied Sciences (CHE). The major objective of the fellowship program is to help increase the number along with competencies of skilled staff in government and non-government organizations working in the sector of Social Work. This program includes living cost, tuition fees, visas, travel & insurance of fellowship holders as specified in NFP Rules and Regulations. Women and those working in Sub-Saharan Africa are strongly encouraged to apply.
During the Innovation in Social Work Training Course, the fellows will develop a welfare renewal project that focuses on the challenges Dutch Social Workers face in real life. Small groups of Dutch and international students will conduct research on an existing problem. In this process, each group will share their findings and will also develop an implementation plan supported by scientific evidence. Also, they will attend several classes to learn about Dutch culture in relation to social work in the country. Alongside, the fellows will visit various social work organizations. After the visit, each student will present his or her comparative analysis of the organizations visited in written.
Upon completion of the course, fellows will receive a certificate and 15 ECTS.
Eligibility Criteria –
- The applicant must have completed a minimum of 2 years of study in the field of social work, pedagogy, or equivalent social sciences study and must be fluent in English.
- Applicant must be working professional in and from one of the NFP Countries.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of work-related experience and must be able to implement new knowledge and skills into their organization.
