The Netherlands Fellowship Program is inviting applications from working professionals in government, non-government or private organization in one of the NFP Countries for Research Methods and Skills Training being held for 12 weeks starting from 15 September 2014 through 5 December 2014. The major objective of the fellowship program is to help increase the number along with competencies of skilled staff in government and non-government organizations working in the Social Sciences Sector. Individuals working in academic institutions located in developing countries who are in need of strengthening research competencies especially junior academic staff, junior researchers, doctorate program candidates, and junior policy researchers are encouraged to apply.
The Research Methods and Skills Training prepares the fellow participants to begin, implement, and document research as a research project, thesis, dissertation, paper, journal article or for competitive intelligence purposes. The course especially seeks to fill the gap between acquired research skills and starting research activities for junior academic as well as decision-makers located in developing countries. Course divided into academic writing, presentation, game theory, system dynamics and evaluation methods; qualitative and quantitative methodology and research philosophy and research proposal development.
The fellows will receive a diploma upon completion of the training course.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicant must hold a Master’s degree in such fields of study as economics, governance, management, and/or social sciences and have documented proficiency in English.
- Applicant must be working professional in and from one of the NFP Countries.
- Applicants must be nominated by their employer in order to be considered for the Fellowship. A clear need for training within their organization must be documented.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of work-related experience and must be able to implement new knowledge and skills into their organization.
