The Taiwan Foundation for Democracy is accepting nominations for the Ninth Asia Democracy and Human Rights Awards. Public are eligible to nominate individuals or organizations that have made concrete and significant contributions to the advancement of democracy and human rights in Asia through peaceful means for the award.
The laureate will be provided grant amount that supports her/his ongoing work that will be presented at an official ceremony in Taipei on December 10th, International Human Rights Day.

The nominators must complete all four parts of the nomination form:
- Basic Information
- Narrative Description and Justification of Nomination
- Letter of Support by Second Nominator
- Supplementary Information
Eligibility Criteria:
- The nominator must describe how the nominated individual or organization has made concrete and significant contributions to the advancement of democracy and human rights in Asia.
- To be eligible for the award, each nominee must be nominated in writing by at least two credible organizations or individuals from the field of democracy or human rights. Nominator can seek another nominator who can fill the form and submit by the deadline. The second nominator’s form may be sent either separately or together with the first nominator’s form.
- Nominator may submit relevant publications or media coverage of the nominee (in electronic – PDF or Word format) translated in English if in languages other than English or Chinese.
