The European Union is seeking applications from organizations for its programme entitled “Support to the emergence of strong civil society actors in the livestock sub-sector” in order to lead the emergence of strong civil society in the livestock sub-sector in partnership with local authorities and de-concentrated governmental bodies.
The objective of the programme is that the Non State Actors, civil society organisations, local authorities and de-concentrated governmental bodies cooperate to improve the Village Animal Health Worker system and support smallholder animal production.
Size of Grants
The grants are divided into two lots:
Lot 1: Actions to support the Village Animal Health Worker system
The grants will range from KHR 2,688,000,000 to KHR 3,688,000,000.
Lot 2: Actions to support smallholder animal production
The grants will range from KHR 3,352,000,000 to KHR 4,352,000,000.
Thematic Areas
For Lot 1
- conducting training for VAHW on animal health and production and extension,
- supporting field activities and income generating activities of VAHWs ,
- supporting the establishment of VAHW associations.
For Lot 2
- strengthening farmers’ capacity in animal health and production,
- develop and operate animal revolving stock schemes,.
- improve the livestock marketing system.
Location
All actions must take place in Cambodia.
Duration
The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 18 months nor exceed 24 months.
