The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) invites applications for an advanced training programme on Efficient Energy Use and Planning. The programme will be implemented in cooperation with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and the Energy Office of Region Värmland, a regional agency for energy efficiency and planning.
The program will conduct workshops in Asia, Africa and Sweden and the later part of the program will be completed in Karlstad and Stockholm. The first part will be in June 2015 and the later part in September 2015.SIDA covers the candidate’s participation fee and accommodation fee along with travel expenses. A maximum f 25 applicants are admitted every year.

- Decision makers
- Planners
- Trainer
- Managers
- Specialists qualified to participate in reform processes
- Candidates representing government organizations, private companies or NGOs at national, regional or local level are welcome to apply.
Target regions
The countries invited to this programme are: Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam.
Application process
- Application is to be made on the special form attached and include a recent photograph and all required information and documents.
- The applicant must be nominated by her/his organization or institution.
- As appropriate the application is to be approved by the official nominating authority in the country.
- The application is to be submitted to the nearest Swedish Embassy/Consulate. If there is no Swedish Embassy/Consulate in the applicant’s country, the application should be sent directly to the Programme Secretariat.
