The Public Forum 2014 will be held from October 1-3, 2014 in Geneva. The Forum has the theme Why Trade Matters to Everyone and it invites proposals from NGOs around the world. The forum is a platform to share the human stories behind trade. The participants will get an exposure to the connections between trade and people’s daily lives. The forum will showcase the impact and improvement trade brings in day-to-day lives of people around the globe – be it in developed nations or the developing world.

- Trade and Jobs
- Trade and Consumers
- Trade and Africa
The proposal can be made for Working Sessions or Workshops
- Working Sessions: Limited number of Panelists introducing Issue and offering own point of view
- Workshops: Informal brainstorming discussions focusing on particular issues related to the Forum’s overall theme
Eligibility Criteria:
- NGOs, academia, business, media, governments, parliamentarians and inter-governmental organizations around the world are eligible to submit proposal for participation in WTO Public Forum.
- The proposal must link to the main theme and sub-themes.
- The application must clearly mention what it wants to organize – working session or workshop.
- The proposal must be creative, and balanced (between the perspectives of different panelists).
