The Government of India Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Ministry of Education and Science (RMES) of Russian Federation are jointly inviting proposals from scientists/researchers for Indo-Russian Joint Research. The joint research proposals should be in the field of Applied Science.
Each project will receive annual US$100,000 (Rs.6,000,000 to Indian Partner from DST and Rbls.3,000,000 to the Russian Partner from RMES) for the research. Initial project plan should not exceed three years. Application for additional one year can be made after completion of the initial planned duration.

- Energy (including Alternate Energy), Efficiency & Security
- Information & Communication Technology
- Nanotechnology and Materials & Engineering Sciences
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proposal must be on joint research projects carried out by research teams from both countries – India and Russia.
- Team leaders must hold a full-time position at a university or research institute in their respective countries.
- The team leaders should submit an application to respective nodal agency, upon consultations, using the respective forms prescribed by DST and RMES. Indian/Russian team leaders should ensure that their counterpart submits an identical application on prescribed format as per guidelines of nodal agencies by due date.
- Indian applicants are required to submit completed application form and all relevant documents via email while the Russian counterpart will submit the application with identical title via online application system.
