The Australia Council for the Arts is inviting applicants for its Artists with Disability funding program with a motive to provide support to artists and groups who identify with disability.
The Australia Council for the Arts is the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body that invest in artistic excellence through support for all facets of the creative process and is committed to the arts being more accessible to all Australians.
Individuals and groups may apply for artists with disability funding for activities supported through:
Development Grants for Individuals and Groups: Development Grants fund a range of activities that benefit your career as an individual artist or group. Development grants are available from $5,000 to $25,000.
Grants Information
Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups: Arts Projects program funds a range of activities that deliver benefits to the arts sector and wider public, including national and international audiences. Grants are available from $10,000 to $50,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The Coucil accept applications from individuals, groups and organisations.
- If you are applying as an individual or group, you must be a practicing artist or arts worker and an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident.
- Organisations must be registered under law (for example, incorporated association, or company limited by guarantee) or created by law (for example, a government statutory authority).
- Organisations that are not legally constituted are not eligible to apply for funding to grant categories open to organisations only.
- International organisations may apply for projects that benefit Australia artists or their work.
Note: Groups applying for this funding need to be disability led. This means you must demonstrate that the artistic process within the group is led by artists with disability.
