Oak Foundation is a philanthropic grant-making organization. Oak Foundation is an organization which works to address issues of global social and environmental concern. Oak Foundation is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees. An Advisory Panel also supports the Foundation’s work on a range of grant-making issues. In addition, the heads of programmes are part of a leadership team that helps guide the direction of the foundation in collaboration with Trustees.
Oak Foundation works in ten programme areas, each with dedicated staff developing and overseeing the grant portfolio.
Child Abuse Programme
Foundation’s Child Abuse programme is to protect children and adolescents form all forms of violence, with a special focus on sexual abuse and exploitation.
Purposes of Child Abuse Programme are to:
- eliminate the sexual exploitation of children
- engage men and boys in combating the sexual abuse of children
- promote systemic approaches to prevent violence against children.
To support effective programming, the promotion of child rights, wellbeing and full development is at the heart of our funding.
Eligible countries
Under this program, Oak Foundation funds organizations in Switzerland, Bulgaria, Latvia, Moldova, Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania.
How to submit Letter of Inquiry?
Organizations who are interested in seeking a grant are advised to write a concept note of no more than 2 (two) pages in length. Please ensure that the concept note includes the following information:
- A summary of the goals and budget of your organization
- A description of the duration, goals and activities of the project for which you seek funding
- Location of the project and description of the target population
- Amount of the grant requested and total cost of the project
- Actual or potential co-funders
