Here is the eligibility and proposal submission information for UNESCO program to provide secondary education to girls in Iraq and students of Syrian Refugees in Iraq.
Eligibility Criteria
For non-for-profit entity
The applicant should:
- be registered in Iraq as a non-for-profit organization (similar to a local or international NGO) during the last 36 months (minimum)
- have a valid license to implement projects across Iraq; particularly in Kurdistan Region of Iraq (by KRG).
- have geographical location in Kurdistan region of Iraq; preferably in the Governorate of Dohuk.
- have At least one previous project with one of the following entities in Iraq:Government, UN Organization, USAID, EU delegation, NRC, or any similar international aid agencies
- know English language in addition to Arabic and Kurdish
- be at least running one project of value above US$100,000 during the last two years
- have value of current fixed assets not less than $50,000; and outstanding debt equal to zero (based on financial statement for 2014)
- be a well-established financial system (incorporating appropriate segregation of duties between budget approving and certifying entities)
- Preference for IT-based accounting system.
For-profit entity
The applicant:
- can be an international or national firm, however should be registered in Kurdistan region of Iraq as a for-profit entity during the last 36 months (minimum)
- should have geographical region in Kurdistan Region of Iraq and preferably has a presence in the Governorate of Dohouk
- should have at least one previous project with one of the following entities in Iraq: Government, USAID, UN Organization, EU delegation, NRC, or any similar international aid agencies.
- should be at least running one project of value above US$150,000 during the last two years
- Value of current fixed assets not less than $50,000; and outstanding debt equal to zero (based on financial statement for 2014)
- should be a well-established financial system (incorporating appropriate segregation of duties between budget approving and certifying entities)
- Preference for IT-based accounting system.
