The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) is inviting proposals in the form of Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for small grants from organizations and groups for biodiversity conservation projects.
CEPF is designed to safeguard Earth’s biologically richest and most threatened regions known as biodiversity hotspots.
The foundation’s goal is to ensure civil society is engaged in biodiversity conservation.
Size of Grants
The grants will be less than $20,000.
Priorities
- Empower local communities to protect and manage biodiversity in priority key biodiversity areas
- Enable civil society to mainstream biodiversity and conservation into policy making and business practices
- Strengthen civil society capacity at national and regional levels through training, exchanges and regional cooperation
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-governmental organizations, community groups, private, enterprises, universities and other civil society organizations from Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros and Seychelles are eligible to submit their LOI.
- Organizations from other countries are eligible to receive funds but only to support activities taking place in the eligible countries and for their benefit.
