Environment Programme
Oak Foundation’s Environment Program is to address global climate change mitigation and the conservation of marine resources. The aim is to protect the oceans and the climate by contributing to the development of responsible global and local governance mechanisms.
The mission of the foundation is to achieve a zero-carbon global economy and the recovery of marine fisheries and habitats.
Principles of Environment Programme are:
- Addressing root causes
- Supporting realistic and solutions-based strategies and objectives
- Putting in place the enabling conditions required for an influential and diverse civil society
- Working through others, particularly NGOs
- Working in partnership with grantees and other foundations
- Leveraging resources, taking risks, and catalysing broad-scale change
- Taking a longer-term approach
How to submit Letter of Inquiry?
Organizations who are interested in seeking a grant are advised to write a concept note of no more than 2 (two) pages in length. Please ensure that the concept note includes the following information:
- A summary of the goals and budget of your organization
- A description of the duration, goals and activities of the project for which you seek funding
- Location of the project and description of the target population
- Amount of the grant requested and total cost of the project
- Actual or potential co-funders
