The European Commission is seeking proposals for the Neighborhood South Civil Society Facility with a motive to strengthen and promote the role of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in democratic changes and reforms taking place in the southern Neighborhood countries.
Objectives
- To strengthen and secure an enabling environment for vibrant, strong and free civil society in Israel.
- To consolidate the capacities of Israeli CSOs, in particular small-size NGOs, grassroots and/or community-based organizations and movements, by:
- reinforcing their independence, operational performance, internal governance, transparency and accountability;
- reinforcing their advocacy skills and developing tools for engaging in the policy-making process and in policy dialogue (e.g. innovative social policies) at local, regional and national levels and to strengthen CSOs’ role regarding governance accountability.
- To promote inclusive coalition building and networking (existing and thematic coalitions or/andnetworks) among civil society in Israel.
Size of Grants
Any grant requested under this call for proposal should be between EUR 250.000 to EUR 500.000.
Duration
The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.
Location
Actions must take place in Israel.
