Netherlands Fellowship for CDI Short Courses: 15 New Courses that you can Apply for

Wageningen UR Center for Development Innovation in the Netherlands yearly offers more than 35 short courses in the field of food & nutrition security, sustainable markets, ecosystem governance, adaptive agriculture, conflict, disaster and resonstruction; and innovation and change. Intended to the working professionals, these short courses support in the capacity building and enhancement of knowledge for their growth and development. The participants are supported by Netherlands Fellowships, MENA Scholarships and others, this benefits the applicants from developing regions.

The Centre for Development Innovation offers over 35 courses in the following fields

Innovation & Change

Once again, CDI is accepting applications from eligible working professionals to participate in the short courses. Here is a list of 15 such short courses in different issues, please go through the courses and apply for the relevant program. If you belong to NFP (Netherlands Fellowship Program) Country, you can secure the fellowships to participate in the short course.

How to Apply for CDI?

Register for a course of your interest on the website by clicking the ‘Apply here’ button.
Log in with your username and password, or if you do not have an account at CDI yet, create an new account
Follow the instructions and fill in all the required fields.
After you have completed the application form, you will receive a confirmation email with the registration details.
If applicable, CDI will send you the NFP/MENA/StuNed admission letter as soon as possible.

Who is eligible for NFP?

Applicants must be the nationals of 51 NFP countries( stated above) working as a professionals.
Candidates have to be nominated by their employer to be eligible for the fellowship.
Applicant must meet a number of criteria that support the aim of the NFP. To be eligible, applicant-

must be a national of, and working and living in one of the countries on the NFP country list
must have an employer’s statement that complies with the format Nuffic has provided.
must not be employed by an organisation that has its own means of staff-development. Organisations that are considered to have their own means for staff development are for example: multinational corporations (e.g. Shell, Unilever, Microsoft), large national and/or a large commercial organisations, bilateral donor organisations (e.g. USAID, DFID, Danida, Sida, Dutch ministry of Foreign affairs, FinAid, AusAid, ADC, SwissAid), multilateral donor organisations, (e.g. a UN organization, the World Bank, the IMF, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, IADB), international NGO’s (e.g. Oxfam, Plan, Care)
must have an official and valid passport
must not receive more than one fellowship for courses that take place at the same time;
must have a government statement that meets the requirements of the country in which the employer is established (if applicable).

How to apply for NFP?

First, register for the CDI Short course that you want to participate via online registration method.
CDI will send an NFP admission letter (along with instructions on how to apply) after reviewing the completed application.
NFP fellowship application can only be submitted through the online form provided by CDI.
