The Besen Family Foundation is currently seeking applications from community based organisations working in Victoria, Australia for its first funding round among two funding rounds in 2015. Expression of Interest will be accepted for proposals in the different categories mentioned below.
Funding Timeline
- Funding Round One
- 23- 27 February 2015: Expression of Interest forms for Health & Welfare submissions will be accepted
- 2 April 2015: Closing date for full submission in all categories
- Funding Round Two
- 7-11 September 2015: Expression of Interest forms for Health & Welfare submissions will be accepted
- 2 October 2015: Closing date for full submission in all categories

Size of grants
Grants up to $10,000 will be given.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be organisations endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for both Charity Tax Concession (TCC) and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
- The recipient organisation must be based in Victoria or must be proposing to use the grant funds for the benefit of Victorians.
- Applications made within 12 months of a previous grant being approved or before an existing grant is completed will not be considered.
- Grants for projects in Arts & Culture, Health & Welfare and Jewish Interests will be approved in Victoria only.
- Applicant organizations can be Community organisations, non-government organisations that work with community organisations.
- Recipients will only be eligible for one grant within a twelve month period.
How to Apply?
- Applicants can submit an Expression of Interest for preliminary assessment via email.
- The Foundation will invite to submit a full proposal thereon.
