NED seeks a detailed and clear monitoring and evaluation plan for the project to understand how the organization will measure the progress of its activities. As the monitoring reports have to be submitted once in four months, it is required for the organization to carry out the review of its activities quarterly. Additionally, at the end of the project, there has to be an evaluation of the project carried out by the organization itself.
A monitoring plan can be best presented in a framework:
Project Objective |
Project Activities |
Progress Indicators |
Increase the awareness and understanding levels of women from disadvantaged groups (such as those belonging to the minority and ethnic sections) about democratic processes | Training workshops held (number of training workshops and number of participants) | Participants developed concrete plan of action; participants taking part in the election processes; participants forming advocacy groups, women exercising voting rights, women contesting in elections |
There should be documented evidence of the progress indicators such as workshop reports, training reports, media news reports and the project reports.
