The Nagao Natural Environment Foundation (NEF) is inviting academic and scientific researchers in the Asia-Pacific region to submit research project proposals related to nature conservation. Full-time research scientists working at a locally based research institutions in the developing countries of the region are encouraged to apply for the grant. The research grants are aimed at strengthening the research capacity of young researchers in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Nagao Natural Environment Foundation (NEF) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting nature conservation in developing countries.
Grant request can be made up to 500,000 Japanese Yen per project for maximum of two years duration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be national of developing country in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Applicants must be a researcher/scientist working full-time or enrolled in a doctoral course, conducting research at a research institution or relevant organization in her/his home country.
- Individuals who work and/or study abroad are ineligible to apply for the grant.
- Applicants must have sufficient experience and skills in conducting and managing the proposed research.
- Applicant must be able to communicate clearly in written English.
- Applicants can not have an on-going research or publication project funded by the NEF at the time of application submission.
- Proposed project must be a scientific research contributing to the nature conservation of the applicant’s country.
- Proposed project must be carried out in the applicant’s country and involve filed-work for collecting data.
Complete application includes- completed application form, and a recommendation letter. Application can be sent via email, fax or via regular mail by the deadline.
