The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan is inviting organizations to submit a proposal to design, produce and distribute materials for nationwide strategic awareness campaigns aimed at improving Afghan perceptions of women’s rights and contributions to society.
Award Information
The award Floor for the base period is set at $300,000. The award ceiling for the base period is set at $400,000. The floor for each of the option periods is set at 300,000. The ceiling for each of the option periods is set at 400,000.
Goal
The overall goal of this NOFO is to maintain and enhance the empowerment of Afghan women and girls, and more specifically:
- to improve Afghan perceptions of women’s rights and contributions to Afghan society;
- to increase Afghan public awareness of the harmful cultural practices and social norms
- that contribute to gender-based violence and the harm it inflicts; and
- to galvanize support of the Afghan public to improve Afghan girls’ lives and provide them with equal opportunities.
Eligibility Information
- Eligibility is open to all US and Afghanistan non-profit and non-governmental organizations.
- Individuals are not eligible for an award under this NOFO.
- Applications that do not include proof of non-profit status will not be considered.
