Simavi is an international development organisation which aims to empower women in marginalized areas to improve their own health, the health of their families and that of the community they live in. The Organization finances and strengthens local organizations in developing countries and stimulates collaborative ventures between organizations working towards that goal.

- Creating an enabling environment, ensuring that government, private sector and NGOs are involved, know their roles and responsibilities and are held accountable
