The Rainforest Alliance is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance Associate in Denpasar, Indonesia.
The Finance Associate will primarily be responsible for the financial needs of 2 IDH-funded projects based in Asia and conduct some project-specific administrative tasks.
The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Finance Associate will perform the following functions-
- Prepare required project financial reports in established IDH donor format(s).
- Gather & track co-financing information from private sector contributors to be included on IDH donor reports.
- Prepare all payment requests related to IDH projects; ensure financial coding, supporting documentation and approvals are accurate for A/R processing – these include payments to vendors, consultants & sub recipients.
- Facilitate and coordinate administrative functions related to vendor, consultant & sub award agreements using appropriate Rainforest Alliance templates and in accordance with Rainforest Alliance procedures and donor requirements; coordinate with project and agreement support staffs required.
- Monitor expenses and revenues to ensure that the projects do not overspend available revenue and that restricted funds are used according to donor requirements.
- Oversee periodic budgeting revision processes according to the donor’s project planning procedures; coordinate with the Sr. Finance Manager as needed.
- Assist in the annual Rainforest Alliance budget process and specifically lead the budget process for the assigned IDH projects.
- Ensure that project activities are carried out according to the restrictions and requirements of the funding source, such as procurement requirements, travel guidelines, etc.
- Prepare invoices and reimbursement requests to donors (or co-financers).
- Organize and maintain records on project information and materials; upload relevant reports & project documents to the Sales force database and use proper naming conventions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, information systems, operations, grants management or related field, or comparable work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in financial support functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Bahasa.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office and Internet).
- IDH, World Bank, or United Nations projects experience in any related field a plus.
- Knowledge of typical donor restrictions (particularly on cost allow ability) a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, assess priorities and multi-task with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally (on average, once a year).
- Nationality of Indonesia.
