Room to Read is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Fundraising Associate in Mumbai, India.
The Fundraising Associate will work closely with and report to the India Lead, Corporations and Foundations.
Room to Read envisions a world in which all children can pursue a quality education.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Fundraising Associate will perform the following functions-
- Maintain team calendar with data with regards to proposals, reports, financial reporting etc.
- Liaise with various teams, both domestic and international to gather information required for compiling reports to further steward our donors, donor communications and proposal submissions.
- Work with Room to Read India’s program and accounting teams to collect information and prepare grant agreements for India-specific grants.
- Development Managers in tracking all the financial and narrative report timelines and donation payment timeline based on the donor MoU’s.
- Manage India gift log and ensure donation receipting and dispatch.
- Support Development Managers in project allocation in our databases regularly.
- Support India team in proposal submissions, documentation processing and marketing presentation on an as needed basis.
- Represent Room to Read at NGO exhibitions or trade fairs to bring more visibility to work.
- Support team with employee engagement and fundraising events in companies.
- Work with marketing communication team and manage and update the India donor data base efficiently and send out periodic monthly emails through RtR’s email systems and manage yearly campaign.
- Support the Mumbai based Fundraising office in all administrative tasks related to the office, which includes all basic necessities like procurement of stationery, internet, couriers etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Communications or Social Sciences.
- Minimum two to three years non-profit fund raising experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience in Donor communication, proposal and reports.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task.
- Prior success working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people.
- Ability and desire to travel across Room to Read geographies in India and overseas.
- Effectiveness in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organization.
- Proven track record of achieving results.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative.
- Legally eligible to work in India; no sponsorship provided.
