Save the Children is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Regional Advocacy and Campaign Manager in Dakar, Senegal. The duration of this post is 12 months.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Regional Advocacy and Campaign Manager will perform the following functions-
- Support Countries offices in West and Central Africa to develop some strong advocacy and campaign strategy and translate those strategies into proposal funded with adequate resources.
- Responsible for undertake advocacy work to advance Save the Children’s policy positions and influence decision-makers, both at national level and internationally.
- Support countries to shape and implement Save the Children’s efforts to influence and bring about change in the awareness, attitudes, behaviors and policies related to the rights of children in West and Central Africa.
- Support specific countries to develop some SMART advocacy plan in response to importance humanitarian crisis in the region.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Strong background in advocacy leadership at a manager level, including policy development and the ability to link programs with advocacy work.
- Proved experience in developing some strong program integrating advocacy or mobilizing fund for advocacy, including a good Experience in proposal development.
- Experience in supporting countries offices from distance or working in “virtual” team.
- Experience in leading the creation and implementation of a strategy, demonstrating the ability to identify the necessary steps towards an ambitious goal.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to motivate influence and negotiate both internally and externally.
- Familiarity with social media to achieve policy changes an advantage.
- Experience of travel, and a willingness to travel in a broad range of West and Central African countries and more widely, sometimes at short notice.

- Fluency in English and French essential.
