The Pact is currently inviting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Communication Specialist based in Yangon, Myanmar.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Communication Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Implement an overall communications strategy, guiding both internal and external communications processes, in coordination with the country management team
- Manage production of communication materials, both print and electronic, including quarterly newsletters, brochures, press releases, fact sheets, video pieces and other publicity materials
- Lead production and/or provide support for key donor reports, including writing, editing and formatting
- Cultivate a media presence, preparing and disseminating press releases, summaries and talking points for speakers, documenting public events and responding to media inquiries as appropriate
- Oversee production of content for social media purposes including Pact Myanmar’s Facebook page and YouTube
- Drive internal communication processes through internal correspondence and management of Mosaic (Jive), Pact’s knowledge management media platform
- Maintain up-to-date archives of communications materials and photos on Pact Myanmar’s common server
- Ensure all communications and project materials are branded in accordance with donors and Pact regulations and guidelines
- Effectively communicate with partner agencies and disseminate messages related to program implementation, meeting minutes, and donor-related materials
- Work closely with other program team members to develop and refine communications products such as training manuals and technical papers that support the implementation of their components
- Train and manage training of field teams and other staff on effective communications, providing guidance on techniques and processes
- Develop communications, in collaboration with the monitoring and evaluation team, that articulate project data, highlighting program achievements and impact
- Execute an effective dissemination strategy across platforms (print, web, media, etc) to increase external visibility
- Monitor effectiveness of communications materials and information shared among staff, partners and other CSOs
- Produce materials and provide coordination to position Pact as a thought leader in Myanmar
- Support country management team with new business proposals as requested
- Other projects and tasks as assigned
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have-
- Bachelor of Arts in Communications or Media Relations, or related field; Master’s Degree preferable
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent)
- Fluency in English, basic knowledge of Myanmar
- Other skills-
- Ability to sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with internal colleagues and contacts in donor and peer organizations
- Consistently works within internal process and procedures
- Strong understanding of Pact’s strategy and how tasks contribute to the greater good
