The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of HIV/AIDS (Reports) Specialist based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Job Responsibilities
The HIV/AIDS (Reports) Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Regional reporting, proposal development and information carried out rigorously, efficiently and within agreed timelines.
- Sectoral work plan and activities formulated, implemented and monitored, ensuring alignment with the defined strategies and approaches.
- Timely sectoral analysis, input, support and collaboration on key Section documents and analysis, and its periodic update made for effective project planning, development and management.
- Promising practices effectively promoted through drafting/finalizing key HIV/AIDS sectoral programme documents and reports, sharing good practice, lessons learned, and information exchange.
- Timely synthesis and dissemination of key sector documents, strategies, policies, reviews, frameworks and reports, with lessons learned in programming identified, and with progress in the region identified and monitored.
- UNICEF’s HIV goals and priorities effectively promoted and integrated in other sectors through advocacy and intersectoral collaboration.
- Effective engagement in development of advocacy messages and dissemination of them through networks, partnership and collaboration.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, Public Health or related technical field.
- Five years of progressively responsible relevant work experience at the national and international levels in programme planning, management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting in HIV/AIDS, gender or in a related field.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second UN language (i.e. Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) and/or the local language of the duty station is considered an asset.
