World Vision (WV) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of WASH RAM Program Officer in Miji, Papua New Guinea. The duration for the post is of 2 years.
The WASH Program Officer will be the main focal person in WASH emergency responses, including conflicts, flooding, drought related emergencies; providing in partnership and collaboration with Government institutions Partner Agencies and WASH adequate solutions for access to water, to sanitation and hygiene improvement services.

Key Jobs Responsibility
The WASH RAM Program Officer wll perform the following functions-
- Support and where required, lead RO and NO concept notes and proposal design process.
- Develop and disseminate WASH industry Standards, WASH project models. WASH Technical Approaches into NOs and RO staff.
- Develop standards, tools, methodologies and procedures with rebuilt contextual flexibility Provide technical expertise and competency to National offices to mobilize resources in a particular discipline.
- Serves as center of knowledge, vector of innovation, research and development and disseminate them to NOs.
- Lead and support WASH emergency responses, in partnership and collaboration with Government institutions Partner Agencies and WASH adequate solutions for access to water, to sanitation and hygiene improvement services.
- Work with the knowledge management unit to follow standards of donor reporting documentation and publication of successfully accomplished WASH projects.
- Provide Technical expertise to National Offices in capacity building to enable them achieve their Strategic Objectives.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Minimum: Bachelor degree (Bac+4) in hydrogeology, hydrology, Hydraulics, sanitation & Hygiene engineering, or similar field with not less than 5 years post qualification experience required.
- At Least five (5) years’ experience in integrated WASH programs design, Implementation, management and evaluation, and working with an NGO or international agency in the field.
- Experience in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector is required at National or International levels.
- Strong knowledge on the business of WASH at National and international level, particularly WV WASH goal and objectives; sense of action and achieving results.
- Sense of Partnership and multi-stakeholder development processes and requirements.
- Strong capacities in WASH concept notes and proposal design.
- Sound knowledge of key WASH donor (Foundations, for profit and bilateral) regulations and excellent report writing skills.
- Ability to build trust, relationships and work productively with highly creative people across sectors and cultures.
- Strong coordination, communications and networking skills.
- Good skills in speaking, reading and writing French and English.
- Proficiency in use of computer, common software for reporting (Excel, Word, Access or more).
- Skills in project management, including managing resources, and financial and budget planning.
