Save the Children is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Development and Quality Director in Hatay, Turkey. The duration of this post is 12 months.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Programme Development and Quality Director will perform the following functions-
- Lead on the development of high quality, innovative programs that deliver immediate and lasting change for children based on data and experience gathered from the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) of those programs. The role supports programmes in North West Syria and in Turkey.
- Ensure that programmes are designed in accordance with the country strategy and the values shared between Save the Children and partners.
- Response for ensuring the quality of programmes and coordinating technical capacity building of partners.
- Provide leadership, working closely with the DCD-Programmes and others in the Senior Management Team (SMT) in assuring that the Save programme is closely coordinated with the humanitarian community and coordination architectures nationally and regionally, incorporating research and best practices to inform the quality of work.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in Social Sciences, in an area of social development.
- At least 4-5 years’ experience at similar are equal levels in an NGO environment, including experience directing and implementing programs for children in both emergency and development contexts, preferably with solid experience in more than one of the Save the Children priority sectors: education, protection, emergencies.
- Recognized leadership role in relevant technical areas at both field and country level.
- A general appreciation of the issues concerning the NGO sector, both development and humanitarian issues.
- Solid experience of developing and managing monitoring and learning systems.
- Good analytical skills. Effective negotiator, with the ability to positively influence cross departmental and cross sector working.
- Credibility to lobby, influence and represent Save the Children at all levels.
- Resource management, training, capacity building, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming teams, in emergencies.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work within a team.
