The right of internally displaced people in Sri Lanka’s Jaffna District to return to their previous homes is impinged by a lack of evidence about their land ownership. The project will increase legal efforts to secure such evidence and facilitate the return of war-affected persons, especially women.

Justice for women, protection of human rights and women in need, intervention in combating violence against women in Sri Lanka
This project will combat domestic violence against women and empower women to enjoy the rights afforded to them by the Sri Lankan constitution. Counselling and legal services will be provided to victims of domestic violence, along with community awareness raising programs which target government officials, the judiciary and men to address this issue.
