The Freedom Awards (from Free the Slaves) celebrate heroes of the anti-slavery movement from around the world. These awards are open to organizations and individuals working to eradicate human trafficking and modern-day slavery.
The awards will be given out during late 2011. Awardees will be flown to the USA for an inspirational evening that honors the vision and courage of slavery survivors, community-based organizations, individual leaders and extraordinary volunteers—all bringing slaves to freedom.
All nominations must be received by midnight GMT on August 1, 2010.
Late nominations will not be considered for the 2011 awards.
