The Development Innovation Venture of USAID is seeking applications from innovative participants for its funding opportunities. DIC invites proposals from creative projects which refer to the challenges in the field of development in an efficient and effective way.
Different Levels of Funding Requests
Stage 1 funding levels range from $25,000 to $150,000 per project.
Stage 2 projects range from $150,000 to $1,500,000.
Stage 3 projects are broken into two phases:
Category A awards range from $1.5M to $6M, and
Category B awards range from $6M – $15M
DIV acts as a solution to find and test best innovative ideas to bring development changes. It aims to work for uplifting the living standards of millions of lives in the same cost. DIV opens the gate for applicants to apply for grants.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participants from U.S, non-U.S organizations, non-profit, for-profit agencies and individuals may apply.
- Participants work should be related to a country where USAID operates.
- Participants engaged with projects such as business models, production processes and services, and technology may also apply.
How to Apply
The selection process consists of two stages:
- Letter of Interest – Applicants are requested to first submit LOI. In LOI, participants need to write a brief description of their idea or approach to related development challenge.
- Full Application – LOI from all the participants will be reviewed and selected participants will be invited to send detailed proposal. Selected participants will recieve full application form with submission instructions.
