Deadline: 28 February 2016
The International Peace Research Association(IPRA) is seeking applicants for Peace Research Grants.
Founded in 1990 the IPRA Foundation, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, furthers the purposes and activities of the International Peace Research Association (IPRA) which, since 1965, has sought to enhance the processes of peace.
The IPRA Foundation began as a depository of funds brought in by people with specific projects. The main task was to invest those funds safely in socially acceptable enterprises and pay them out as needed.
The foundation’s mission is to advance interdisciplinary research into the conditions of peace and the causes of war and other forms of violence.
Ever since the Peace Research Grants Fund was created in 2002, IPRAF has awarded grants to help fund peace research projects in places as diverse as Argentina, Bosnia, inner city communities in the United States, the Middle East, the Philippines, the Punjab, and Uganda.
