2nd October is celebrated as International Day of Non-Violence worldwide in honor of the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement and pioneer of the philosophy and strategy of non-violence.
We live in a diverse world and thus dignity of each human and religion should be maintained. The dominancy by people dehumanizes the environment and thus the roots of non-violence are then built.
The International Day of Non-Violence promotes non-violence through education and public awareness.
On this very occasion, we have also tried to put an effort for a little but lasting difference for people and organizations worldwide. We have created a list of foundations/programs supporting non-violence worldwide.
