The Rockefeller Foundation is governed by the Board of Trustees which consists of no fewer than 12 members, with the Foundation’s president serving as an ex-officio member. Foundation guidelines for proposed project:
- Project should commit to nurturing innovation, pioneering new fields, expanding access to and distribution of resources, and, ultimately, generating sustainable impact on individuals, institutions, and communities within the context of our active initiatives.
- Project should address one or more than one core issue areas.
- Proposed work should affect people in one or more than one of the geographic areas in which Foundation works.
