The Section II will be the activities, the results, and the monitor plans you want to use to monitor your results, and you should write no more than 700-800 words. The activities represent the tasks or work you are going to perform in the project and you may write about 250 words. The most important thing needed to keep in mind is that the activities section has to be closely correlated or connected to the objectives in Section I to achieve the goal of the project. Since the competitions of getting funded between applicants are getting stronger, we will highly recommend that you pay more attentions to the correlations of the three sections in your proposal. Applications with vague descriptions, vague testing methodologies, or insufficient description within the broader project scope will not be funded.
The alternatives are that you may use those activities that have been performed successfully by those previous funded projects of Phase I and II, which will increase the qualities of your proposed project, and will increase the funding possibilities. Gantt charts should be used in this section to show your work plan, etc. A brief example is as follows.
A Network to Improve the Maternal Health in Delhi – Activities
1) A maternal health network of a ‘pregnant women center’ and a ‘hygiene living center’ with low-costs and high-efficiencies will be set up.
2) Extra-low-cost handsets which connected to both the network and the local delivery services will be offered to pregnant women and used during pregnancies until deliveries.
3) Surveys to collect the opinions and living conditions of pregnant women and family members, and their infection rates before and after the project will be conducted, and the results will be analyzed and used for the establishment and improvements of the maternal health network.
It is simple and clear to use Gantt chart to show the work plan with time frames, activities, names and explanations. More details can be found on our website: https://fundsforngos.org/free-resources-for-ngos/activities-carried/. Here is a Gantt chart sample:
