A Network to Improve the Maternal Health in Delhi – Executive Summary
The society of the city of Delhi did not pay enough attentions to the health pregnant women and newborn children because people thought these conditions were not their duties or they simply did not have enough education and knowledge of maternal health, especially the pregnant women themselves. As the consequence, the newborn survival rate in Delhi is one of the lowest in this country. In this project, we propose to develop a maternal health network to offer easy accessible educational and informative platform to the family members and the pregnant women, which will include low-cost handsets with simple and direct contact to the health service team for the delivery to improve the current situation. This project is proposed for two years.
