Following are the role and eligibility of the British Council Social Enterprise Program Boot Camp Trainer Consultant:
Role of the Consultant
- Design the Boot Camp, including a 5-day training program and materials in consultation with British Council staff and local partners.
- Conduct an initial scoping visit to Morocco. It includes delivering a 2-day workshop with local partners to understand the needs and context, and enable them to support delivery and facilitation of the Boot Camp (10-11 December 2014) and delivering 2 1-day workshop sessions to potential Boot Camp applicants in Rabat and Casablanca (12 and 13 December 2014), supported by local partners.
- Deliver the 5-day Boot Camp, with the support of local partners (last week of January 2015).
- Ensure that the training content is delivered accurately and effectively.
- Provide applicants with practical training to develop a business and financial plan and a sales and marketing strategy.
- Produce a report after the training delivery, including suggestions on the following year’s training program development.
- Provide ongoing mentoring, consulting and coaching to the 10 winners’ social enterprises over a 6 month period.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have deep understanding of social enterprise.
- Applicants must have strong training background (expertise in designing and delivering training programs in social enterprise) with proven experience in tailored consultancy, coaching, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Applicants must have experience of developing social enterprise as a concept in new markets.
- Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Applicants must have experience of developing social enterprises focused on providing skills to young people and linking youth/unemployed people to the labor market.
- Ability to undertake the assignment, including travel to Morocco, during the periods specified.
- Applicants must be able to deliver training in French.
