Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation has invited applications for International training of trainers on integrated water resources management. The theme for this course is Facilitating water stewardship from a basin perspective. This course will take place in Wageningen, The Netherlands from 01 – 19 June 2015.
The mission of this programme is to support trainers in developing the capacity to use them in their own wetland, basin or region and in planning for developing social capital to engage in IWRM
Outcomes of this training:
- understanding of the meaning of integrated water resources management (IWRM)
- understanding of the essential steps towards IWRM
- skills and supportive tools to facilitate multi-stakeholder processes and societal learning
- training and communication skills
- skills in developing curricula to develop capacity in IWRM
Eligibility criteria:
This course has been designed for (future) trainers in IWRM; for wetland managers, river basin and land-use planners, policymakers, consultants, researchers, NGO and company staff having affinity with training; and for all who wish to become a (better) water steward. Competence in the English language is required.
