The School of Social Work & Applied Psychology at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences is organizing the short course on ‘Leadership in Social Work’ from 2 September 2013 to 29 August 2013 in the Netherlands.
The course will expand your practical skills and theoretical expertise in the professional field of Social Work during this Programme in which English is the official language. Diversity and integration are the key issues in this Short Degree Programme, whilst making use of the participants’ international experience and background. This Programme is extra interesting if you aspire a managerial position in the future. Besides attention for research, innovations, new Social Work methods and prevention, management subjects are included in the programme as well.
Examples of the topics to be discussed are care and treatment of addicts, crime and (social) safety, migration and diversity, domestic violence, fighting poverty and several state of the art methods. Furthermore the difference is that you are explicitly counselled and work on your personal development and personal effectiveness. You will leave the University as a highly trained social worker, prepared for a management role.
The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) is offering financial support for this short course to cover your costs of living, the costs of tuition fees, visas, travel, insurance and thesis research, as specified in the NFP Rules and Regulations for fellowship holders.
