Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation is organizing the Training on Netherlands Fellowship for Training on ‘Participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation’ in the Netherlands from 10 – 28 March 2014. Support to participate in this training programme is available from the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP).
Most development initiatives take place in highly dynamic contexts: a diversity of people is involved and change processes are complex and uncertain. Guiding your project towards impact means facing the challenges of this ever-changing context. In this three-week course you will learn to use participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation (PPM&E) to strengthen your ability to manage for impact (M4I).
Training is organized by Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation.
Course objectives–
Upon completion of the course applicants will-
- have strengthened their competence to manage for impact in their own individual sphere of work
- be able to play a more effective role in helping organisation manage for impact
- understand principles and practice of strategic thinking, foresight, change management, interactive processes, the learning organisation and conflict management
- have built up a strategic attitude
- know how M&E is on international agendas: position your work in a relevant development policy context
- be able to develop appropriate M&E plans based on clear information needs
Target audience-
Applicants are a middle or senior level programme manager or M&E officer or consultant in a business, government or non-government organisation. Applicants would like to make the planning process more relevant, effective and inspiring and help their organisation to act and think strategically. Applicants would like to create more impact in their work and understand how (P)M&E can help applicants do this.
