Deadline: 27 February 2015
Global Development Alliance (GDA) Annual Program Statement (APS) together with the U.S. Global Development Lab is inviting organizations for the submission of concept papers focused on fostering entrepreneurship and catalyzing private investment into early stage enterprises operating in developing countries. The program aims to directly support the U.S. Government’s commitment to spark over $1 billion in new investments in business and social entrepreneurship by 2018.
This is an initiative to identify and advance innovative approaches that enable early stage entrepreneurial enterprises to refine and improve their business models in a manner that achieves commercial viability, scale and sustainable growth, and to increase private investment into such enterprises.
USAID is focused on building partnerships that address one or more of the program objectives.
Program Objectives
- Stimulate the development of sustainable and scalable models that support the successful incubation of early stage enterprises in developing countries.
- Catalyze private investment (debt or equity) into early-stage enterprises in the developing world.
- Foster the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems
