As Sport for Development (SPD) gains more popularity in international development, the Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development Peace Working Group (CYSDP) has published a toolkit that provides advice for young people on the skills and tools needed to advocate for SDP.
The CYSDP have created a youth advocacy toolkit to provide young people with advice about skills and tools to become advocates of SDP. The resource aims to enhance their ability to create awareness and influence decision-making.
In addition to helping youth become agents of change in their communities, this toolkit is geared towards enhancing the understanding of and support for sport and play’s role in achieving critical development and peace objectives.
The toolkit was launched at Marlborough House, the Commonwealth Secretariat’s headquarters on Tuesday 7 April during day-long celebrations of the second UN designated International day of Sport for Development and Peace.
