Adobe Youth Voices Awards is accepting entries of media created by youth between the ages of 13-19 for the media created after January 2014. Original, high-quality youth-produced content that creatively express the vision for driving positive change in local communities are accepted for the award. The winners will be announced on 18 June 2014.
Categories of entry submission –
- Video (5) – Animation, Documentary, Music Video, Narrative, and Poetry/Experimental
- Digital Print (2) – Photo Essay, and Poster Campaign
Three projects will be awarded ‘Adobe Youth Voices Awards’ per category.
- First Prize Category is chosen by individual judges from related industries
- Second Prize Category is chosen by individual judges from related industries
- Audience Award is chosen by audiences worldwide
Eligibility Criteria –
- Submitted media must be created after January 2014 by youth between the ages of 13-19.
- Residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria are not eligible to enter media.
- An educator who has worked directly with the youth producers of the project can only submit the entry.
- Eligible format of media submissions –
- Videos should be either Raw Files (MP4 following the Adobe Youth Voices program video encoding requirements); or Youtube Link; or Vimeo Link.
- Photographs or Still images must be JPEG
- Graphic Design must be JPEG.
- Projects (music, photos, video, etc) must be original, copyright free, or used with permission of the creator of the work.
- Videos that are not in English must have English subtitles.
- All videos must have a total minimum running time of 1 minute and a total maximum running time of 10 minutes, including title and end credits.
Additional materials to be submitted are – a brief artistic statement, and a photograph and biography of the youth media maker(s).
